Bhindi do Pyaza

BHINDI DO PYAZA

Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ Kg Bhindi / Okra / Lady Finger
  • 2 medium sized Onions (cut into long slices)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Haldi / Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Amchoor / Mango Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Rinse Bhindi in water using a colander or strainer and spread Bhindi on cloth and let them dry for some time. Cut the bhindi from top & end and keep it aside. Then take one by one bhindi and cut into small pieces (not very small, you may cut 3 pieces of 1 bhindi)
  2. Heat oil in Kadai/Pan, add bhindies, Amchoor & Haldi and fry for 2-3 minutes on high flame. Then sim the flame and cook for 20 – 25 mins or till the time it is cooked. Keep turning the bhindies after every 3 -4 mins.
  3. Add Onions, cook for 2-3 mins, then add Red Chilli Powder, Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder, Garam Masala & salt and mix well
  4. Serve Hot with Roti / Paratha
