BREAD ROLLS

Recipe Type : Breakfast / Evening Snack

Preparation Time : 15 – 20 mins

Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 – 10 Bread Slices (White or Brown)
  • 8 medium sized Aloo / Potatoes
  • 1 medium size Onion finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger grated
  • 4 Garlic cloves grated
  • 2-3 Green Chillies finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking
  • 1 cup Water

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. For Stuffing –
    1. Wash the Potatoes well & take pressure cooker, add Potatoes & sufficient water, give 2-3 whistles or till potatoes are boiled
    2. Peel & Mash boiled Aloo / Potatoes in a bowl, add chopped Onions, Ginger, Garlic, Green Chillies, Red Chilli Powder, Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder, Garam Masala & Salt and mix well
  2. Take 1 bread slice and cut the sides, dip the bread slice into water just for a second and squeeze off the excess water
  3. Place the Potato stuffing, wrap the bread and with the help of both the hands gently roll and make oval shape. Repeat the process for making rest of the rolls
  4. Put the rolls (2-3 rolls at a time) in Oil for deep fry, cook till it is golden brown
  5. Serve hot with Ketchup/Mint Chutney as Breakfast/Evening Snack
