METHI ALOO WITH AMRITSARI WADI

Cooking Time : 25 – 30 mins

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 gms Methi/fenugreek leaves, washed & finely chopped
  • 1 big piece of Urad Dal Wadi (Best is to buy from Amritsar, Punjab, India if you have contact, else it is available at local market)
  • 4 medium sized Potatoes, washed, peeled cut into medium/small pieces
  • 2 – 3 Green Chilli finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Haldi / Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to Taste
  • 2 – 3 tablespoon Mustard Oil – recommended (optional if you prefer cooking in some other oil) for cooking

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat oil in a Kadai / Pan, fry Urad Dal Wadi for few seconds, add Haldi / Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Salt to taste, mix well
  2. Immediately after 1st point add Methi/fenugreek leaves, Potatoes, Green Chilli mix well and cook for 25 mins on low flame or till the time potatoes are cooked
  3. Serve Hot with Paratha or Roti
