Mooli Paratha

  • 1 Kg Mooli / Radish finely Grated (Peel the Mooli first)
  • Mooli Pata / Radish leaves finely chopped
  • 2-3 Green Chillies finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
  • ½ teaspoon Amchoor / Mango Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Desi Ghee / Oil for cooking
  • For Dough – 2 ½ cups of wheat flour & needed water



  1. For Dough – Take wheat flour in a big bowl & add sufficient Water and knead into a soft dough (Same as we make for Chapati or Roti)
  2. Take Mooli in a bowl and add Salt and leave for 15 minutes. Mooli will release lot of water, drain the water and then squeeze the grated mooli to remove extra water
  3. For Stuffing – Take squeezed Mooli / Radish in another bowl, add Mooli Pata / Radish leaves, Green Chillies, Red Chilli Powder, Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder, Garam Masala, Amchoor and mix well
  4. Take small portions of dough & make a round ball like roti, On rolling board, roll out thinly into a circle and spread little oil / ghee over it, keep sufficient stuffing (with spoon or hand) in the middle of the circle, Lift the dough from all the sides to cover the stuffing (like a round), roll out again into a Paratha (use dry wheat flour whenever required)
  5. Heat tawa and place the Paratha on it, when one side is slightly browned, flip the paratha, spread little Ghee and flip it again & spread the ghee on the other side and well cook from both sides till its golden brown & crispy
  6. Serve hot Paratha with Butter, Pickle or Tea
