Paneer Paratha

PANEER PARATHA

Recipe Type : Breakfast / Lunch

Preparation Time : 10 – 15 mins

Cooking Time : 12 – 15 mins

Serves: 2 – 3

INGREDIENTS:

  • 250 gms Paneer / Cottage Cheese finely Grated
  • 1 medium sized Onion finely chopped
  • 2-3 Green Chillies finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Desi Ghee / Oil for cooking
  • Fresh Coriander leaves
  • For Dough – 2 ½ cups of wheat flour & needed water

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. For Dough – Take wheat flour in a big bowl & add sufficient Water and knead into a soft dough (Same as we make for Chapati or Roti)
  2. For Stuffing – Take grated Paneer in a bowl, add Green Chillies, Red Chilli Powder, Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder, Garam Masala, Salt, fresh Coriander leaves and mix well
  3. Take small portions of dough & make a round ball like roti, On rolling board, roll out thinly into a circle and spread little oil / ghee over it, keep sufficient stuffing (with spoon or hand) in the middle of the circle, Lift the dough from all the sides to cover the stuffing (like a round), roll out again into a Paratha (use dry wheat flour whenever required)
  4. Heat tawa and place the Paratha on it, when one side is slightly browned, flip the paratha, spread little Ghee and flip it again & spread the ghee on the other side and well cook from both sides till its golden brown & crispy
  5. Serve hot Paratha with Butter, Pickle or Tea
