SUKHI MOONG DAL WITH AMRITSARI WADI

Ingredients

Moong Dal (Soaked for 15 mins before making) 1 cup
Urad Dal Wadi 1 big piece of
Onion finely chopped 1 medium sized
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder / Haldi 1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper / Kali Mirch Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to Taste
Oil for Cooking 2 tablespoon
Water 1 cup
Lemon & Chopped Onions, Tomatoes & Green Chillies for Garnishing (Optional)

Recipe Type: Lunch / Dinner

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat oil in a Kadai / Pan, fry Urad Dal Wadi for 2-3 mins and keep aside
  2. Fry onions in same oil till they are translucent, add Haldi / Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Salt to taste, Moong Dal, Wadi and mix well
  3. Add water & cook for 10 mins or till dal is cooked well (make sure it is not over cooked)
  4. Add Black Pepper / Kali Mirch Powder, Garam Masala and mix well
  5. Serve Hot with Paratha or Roti or you can have it like a chaat by adding chopped Onions, Tomatoes, Green Chillies & Squeeze little lemon
