Vegetable Poha 1

VEGETABLE POHA / CHIVDA

Serves: 4

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 500 gms Poha / Chivda
  • 2 medium sized Onions cut into long slices
  • 1 cup Peas
  • 1 – 2 Carrots cut into very small pieces
  • 2 small sized Potatoes cut into very small pieces
  • 10 – 12 beans cut into very small pieces (optional)
  • 3 – 4 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 12 – 15 Curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder / Haldi
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for Cooking

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Put Poha/Chivda in a colander and wash properly (do not soak too long in the water), leave the Poha in the colander to drain out
  • Heat Oil in a Pan, add Mustard Seeds, after 1 min add Onions, Potatoes, Peas, Carrot, Beans, Curry leaves and Salt (for vegetables) & very little water (so that the vegetables are cooked easily), cook till the Potatoes are cooked
  • Add Turmeric Powder/Haldi, Red Chilli & Salt (for Poha), mix well. Then add Poha into the vegetable mix and lemon juice, mix well and cook for 3 – 4 mins
  • Serve Hot
