HUMMUS DIP

Ingredients

White Chana / Chickpeas (soaked for 5 - 6 hours before) 1 cup
Til / Sesame Seeds 2 tablespoon
Garlic pieces 4 - 5
Jeera / Cumin Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Olive Oil ¼ cup
Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
Pinch of Red Chilli Powder & 1 teaspoon Olive Oil (for garnishing)

Directions

  1. Take white Chick Peas/Chana in a cooker, add sufficient water, give 4-5 whistles or till the Chanas are boiled
  2. Heat a Tawa/Pan, add Til/Sesame seeds and roast them for 1 -2 min or till the time it is little brown. Make a fine powder once it is cool down
  3. Take White Chick Peas in a blender, add Garlic, Sesame Powder, Cumin Powder, Salt, Olive oil, Lemon Juice, and blend to a smooth paste
  4. Transfer the dip into a bowl, pour 1 teaspoon Olive Oil & Red Chilli Powder from the top for garnishing
