MASALA BREAD

Ingredients

Bread Pieces 4
Onions medium sized finely chopped 1
Tomato medium sized finely chopped 2
Ginger Paste or Grated 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic Paste or Grated 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Haldi / Turmeric Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala 1/2 teaspoon
Jeera / Cumin (Optional) 1/2 teaspoon
Desi Ghee/Oil for cooking

Hi friends.. Hope you all are doing good.. Today am sharing something new.. Sometimes we feel hungry while cooking or any of our family members.. yesterday my mom was making Masala/tadka for Dal and in the middle of that i said am feeling hungry.. She gave me 3-4 options but i was not convinced and then she asked me would you like to have Masala bread.. I asked her what is that.. She told me that when they were kids, their mother used to spread tadka/Masala on bread and they all used to eat & enjoy. I ate yesterday and seriously it tasted very good. So thought to share this Grandma’s recipe with everyone. We can use any Onion Tomato tadka/Masala of Paneer, Rajma, Chole, Dal etc..

Directions

  1. Heat Desi Ghee/Oil in Pan, add Jeera/Cumin, cook for few seconds, then add Onions, Ginger & Garlic and sauté till onions are translucent or light brown
  2. Add Red Chilli Powder, Haldi / Turmeric Powder, Salt, mix well and add tomatoes & cook for 7 – 8 mins on low flame or till the mixture leaves oil or the mix is cooked properly
  3. Spread the Masala on bread & serve
