PUNJABI GAWAR PHALI / CLUSTER BEANS

Serves : 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 750 gms Gawar Phali / Cluster Beans
  • 2 medium sized Onions finely chopped
  • 10-15 gms finely chopped Ginger (1 tablespoon)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Haldi / Turmeric Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 – 3 tablespoon Desi Ghee
  • 1 ½ Glass Water for boiling

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Wash the Gawar Phali / Cluster beans and cut it into medium sized pieces (3 pcs of 1 cluster bean)
  2. Take cooker, add Gawar Phali & water and give 3-4 whistles
  3. Drain the extra water from beans
  4. Heat same cooker/ pan, add desi ghee, Onions & ginger, cook for 3 mins or till the onions are light brown
  5. Add Red Chilli Powder, Haldi / Turmeric Powder & Salt to taste, mix well
  6. Add boiled Gawar Phali / Cluster Beans, Kali Mirch / Black Pepper Powder, Garam Masala Powder and mix well, cook for 3 -4 mins on high flame
  7. Serve with hot chapatti with desi ghee on it
