RICE WITH KALE CHANA TWIST

Recipe Type: Lunch / Dinner

Preparation Time: 5-7 mins

Cooking Time: 20 mins

Serves: 3 – 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of Rice soaked for 30 mins
  • 1 medium sized Onions sliced
  • 1 medium sized Aloo cut into small pieces
  • ½ teaspoon Jeera / Cumin Seeds
  • 1 cup Kale Chana with 2 ½ cups Gravy (Gravy can be put in place of water, in case the gravy is less than add little water)
  • Salt to taste (only for Rice)
  • Oil for cooking

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Heat Oil in cooker and add Cumin seeds/Jeera, wait for few seconds & add onions, sauté till the onions are light brown, add Aloo, Salt, mix well and cooker for 2-3 mins
  2. Add Rice & Kale Chana with Gravy, mix well, close the Cooker with upper lid and give 3 whistles (don’t open the cooker till the steam is there)
  3. Serve Hot
